
HAŠK Mladost Participates in SONAR’s Final Event to Advance Youth Sports Safety
As a dedicated partner in the SONAR project, HAŠK Mladost proudly joined the Final Multiplier Event at UVic-UCC in Vic, Spain, where 78 participants from eight partner countries convened to address critical issues in youth sports injury prevention. The event spotlighted SONAR’s mission to build safer sports environments for young athletes, particularly focusing on female athletes’ unique challenges.
Kicked off by Albert Juncà, Vicerector of UVic-UCC, the conference included inspiring contributions from experts across fields. Dr. Javier Peña opened with insights on the youth sports injury burden and SONAR’s role in addressing it, setting the tone for a day of impactful presentations and collaborative discussions. Esteemed presenters such as Dr. Joske Nauta, Dr. Femke van Nassau, and Ms. Irene del Río shared invaluable strategies on injury prevention, evidence-based practices, and training load management for young female athletes.
Representing HAŠK Mladost, attendees actively engaged in the conference’s discussions and learned from expert-led sessions on neuromuscular training, early injury prevention strategies, and the importance of resilience in youth sports. HAŠK Mladost’s commitment to the SONAR project is underscored by their ongoing efforts to implement the project’s outcomes in their community, with a focus on fostering safe, supportive environments for young athletes.
As the conference concluded with a round table led by Àlex López, HAŠK Mladost reinforced its dedication to SONAR’s goals, supporting young athletes’ safety and health through sustained community-building efforts.
