Kick-off meeting, the first APPLE step: our project starts now!
In the premises of the EPSI House of Sport in Brussels, Erasmus+ APPLE kick-off meeting took place, making our Erasmus+ Multisport project officially start.
Representatives from Lazio Atletica Leggera (Italy), AaB (Denmark), SD Crvena Zvezda (Serbia), Feyenoord Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Olympiacos SFP (Greece), HASK Mladost (Croatia), Levski Sport for All (Bulgaria) and Polisportiva Pontevecchio Bologna (Italy) met at the European Platform for Sport Innovation (Belgium) House Of Sport in Brussels, talking about APPLE milestones and actions to be taken in the framework of this project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Under the guidance of Project Manager Gabriella Bascelli and Project Co-Leader Gina Luzzatto, the themes of the 18-month project were described, putting the stress on the promotion of a sporty and healthy lifestyle at 360°: so, not only physical activity but a broader perspective organized for promoting health among European citizens, focusing on children.
The first session of the kick-off meeting represented a good opportunity for partners to introduce themselves and start discussing project activities. In particular, a session was organized for EPSI to talk about the e-learning platform that will be part of the educational programme for coaches.
Another session about communication revealed itself particularly interesting, with partners united to find common strategies to promote the project at the European and local level. The afternoon was then dedicated to two brainstorming sessions, where partners firstly divided into groups sharing ideas about project priorities, objectives and possible future innovations; then they shared their points of view about tips and best-practices for coaches will be involved in the project. This discussion was particularly challenging, with partners focusing on how to help coaches to communicate with children spreading the project message.
After the last discussion about budgeting, the intense meeting ended with a family photo and an informal dinner that created new opportunities for team building among our partners. In other words, we are in: APPLE officially started.
