eSports as mental activities and real sport as physical activities
Bayer Levekusen’s eSports activities started with FIFA 23 at the beginning of October. As activities, they had two courses per week with 12 participants each.
The courses were on Tuesdays and Fridays from 15:30 to 17:30. During the two hours, participants could play the games FIFA 23, Fallguys, Rocket League and League of Legends together.
After about 45 minutes, they took the children into the hall or outside if the weather is suitable. As a physical activity, they always vary between games and tasks.
The goals were to teach the children various tips and tricks on the consoles and to teach them why it is important to find the right balance to play. And also how to deal with the topics of violence and addiction prevention and online bullying in lessons.
