QIS – All In: When access to sport becomes reality, not just a promise

Have you ever stood in front of a sports facility and thought:
“This should really be easier.”

That very thought inspired the QIS – All In project — an initiative that aims to make access to sport simpler, fairer, and more real for everyone.

Because the right to sport isn’t just a theory, or a luxury that comes with extra funding.
The right to sport is now — and for everyone.

About the Project

QIS – All In (Quality Indicators for Sport Accessibility and Inclusion) is an Erasmus+ Sport project bringing together eight organisations from five European countries, including HAŠK Mladost.

The goal is clear: to create European standards and tools that help sports facilities become accessible, inclusive and welcoming — not just in words, but in daily practice.

Why It Matters

Behind big words lie real-life problems:

  • An athlete can’t enter the hall because there are stairs.
  • A parent with a stroller has to wait outside.
  • An older person feels lost without clear signage.
  • A person with sensory sensitivities avoids sport because the space feels overwhelming.

What We’re Building

The QIS – All In project is built on three key pillars:

1. Universal Design

We’re developing guidelines to help sports spaces work for everyone:
people with disabilities, older adults, parents with small children, recovering athletes, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone with temporary or long-term access needs.

2. Evaluation and Certification Model

We’re introducing a step-by-step progress model:
Bronze – Silver – Gold levels, recognizing continuous improvement rather than perfection.

3. Education, Tools and Online Platform

All our resources — training modules, manuals, digital tools and materials — will be free and open to all.
Coaches, facility managers, volunteers and users will gain practical tools for everyday improvements.

Who’s Behind the Project?

The consortium brings together accessibility experts, Paralympic committees, sport organizations, trainers, researchers and community groups. Many contribute personal stories — from halls they’ve audited, or athletes who’ve inspired them to keep pushing forward.

Access is the First Step Toward Belonging

QIS – All In wants to help sports organisations move beyond awareness — toward real action.
To create facilities where people feel welcome, independent and safe.

Because sport isn’t just about results.
Sport is about belonging.
And belonging begins with access.
