Ljubljana Welcomes the Second International 3x3UNITY Friendly Tournament
The second international gathering within the Erasmus+ Sport project 3x3UNITY: Play, Create, Connect was held in Ljubljana on 23–24 May 2026, once again bringing together young basketball players from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
The friendly tournament welcomed boys from HAKK Mladost, girls from ŽKK Jabuka, the Slovenian teams KK Šentvid and ŽKD Maribor, as well as young participants from Serbia represented by SUPERNOVA21. Throughout the two-day programme, participants competed in friendly 3×3 basketball games while also taking part in various social activities designed to strengthen international friendships.
The event was not focused on results or rankings, but on creating an environment where young people could connect through sport, exchange experiences and learn from one another. These activities reflect the core objectives of the 3x3UNITY project: promoting inclusion, healthy lifestyles, intercultural dialogue and European values through sport.
Following the successful tournament in Zagreb, the meeting in Ljubljana further strengthened the bonds between participants and highlighted the important role of sport in connecting young people across borders.
The 3x3UNITY: Play, Create, Connect project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Sport Programme and implemented by SUPERNOVA21 (Serbia), HAŠK Mladost (Croatia) and Športno društvo Šentvid Ljubljana (Slovenia).
