Projects Presented at the EMCA CONNECT “Poster Walk”

At the autumn EMCA CONNECT gathering in Istanbul, multisport clubs from across Europe came together to discuss the future of sport, the role of artificial intelligence, and the evolution of multisport communities.
One of the highlights of the event was the poster walk, an informal session where active and completed projects involving EMCA members were showcased.

Among them were seven European projects in which HAŠK Mladost plays an important role — as a partner, coordinator, or expert contributor. From coastal regeneration to youth retention in sport, digital transformation, and social inclusion, each of these projects offers a unique perspective on shaping the future of European sport.

Below is a short overview of the projects featured during the poster walk:

STAY! – Sport as a Tool Against Youth Dropout

The STAY! project tackled one of the biggest challenges in modern sport that is early dropout among young athletes. Through workshops, surveys, pilot actions, and educational materials, the project explored how sports organizations can provide better support to help young people stay engaged — not just physically, but also socially and emotionally.

During EMCA CONNECT, the STAY Policy Brief was presented, a publication released in May 2025, summarizing key recommendations and insights for clubs, coaches, and policymakers.

TeqGames

The EU TeqGames project, completed in July 2025, promoted new and innovative Teq sports, such as Teqball, Teqvoly, and other variations using the specially designed Teq table.
Its goal was to increase access to these new forms of sport within local communities and multisport environments, encouraging creativity, inclusion, and movement for all.

DiaPS – Diabetes Digital Peer S(up)port

How can we ensure that sport is truly accessible to children and young people living with diabetes?

The DiaPS project focuses on educating coaches and developing tools that make it safe and easy to include athletes with diabetes in regular sporting activities.

In Istanbul, we shared examples of hands-on workshops, educational resources, and feedback from coaches who have already applied what they learned in their everyday work.
Currently, the team is developing a digital application designed to enable experience sharing, advice exchange, and peer support among everyone involved in sport and diabetes — athletes, parents, coaches, and medical professionals.
The goal is to create a supportive digital community that offers practical tools, empathy, and inspiration for safer and more inclusive sport environments.

DigiRoot

DigiRoot helps sports organisations evolve digitally through practical guides, tools, and educational content on digital transformation.
The project brings together multisport associations and IT experts to co-create a platform that supports clubs in adapting to the digital age — making sport management more efficient, transparent, and connected.

ReSea Sports

The ReSea Sports project connects water sports with marine conservation. Its activities include education, regenerative practices in coastal communities, and the promotion of sustainable sports tourism.

Recently, the project expressed its support for the Green Sport Manifesto, further strengthening its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in sport.

QIS – Quality in Sport

QIS explores what makes a sports club truly high-quality, not only in performance, but also in management, inclusion, education, and sustainability.
The goal is to create a self-assessment tool that helps clubs identify their strengths and areas for growth, supporting continuous improvement across all aspects of their work.

GOLDAGE

GOLDAGE – Multisport Training Programme for Physical Activity of Elder People 60+ promotes physical activity and social inclusion among older adults.
Its goal is to develop sustainable training programmes that improve health, mobility, and overall wellbeing, while reducing social isolation among people aged 60 and above.
HAŠK Mladost contributes by organizing training sessions, educating coaches and volunteers, and helping develop resources that can be used by sports organizations across Europe.
