Five medals for HAŠK Mladost at the EU TeqGames tournament in Rome!
The second edition of EU TeqGames took place from April 4–6 in sunny Rome, and our team from HAŠK Mladost returned home with plenty to celebrate.
We brought back five medals!
Our athletes competed in five categories and made it to the podium in every single one:
🥈 Men’s Doubles – Ivano Strinavić and Leopold Coha: silver
🥉 Women’s Doubles – Elena Mrzljak and Matea Matić: bronze
🥉 Mixed Doubles – Elena Mrzljak and Ivano Strinavić: bronze
🥉 Women’s Singles – Elena Mrzljak: bronze
🥉 Men’s Singles – Ivano Strinavić: bronze
Beyond the results, we came back with great memories, new friendships, and a fun, energetic sporting experience. The tournament brought together teams from across Europe, and the atmosphere was filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and lots of shared laughs.
As one of the project partners, we also had the chance to support S.S. Lazio in organizing the event. It was an exciting experience for us as a club, and we gained valuable insights into what it takes to host a high-level Teqball tournament – something we’ll definitely use in the future!
At the end of the event, our local project coordinator, Dunja Bračun, shared a few words:
“More than just medals, this tournament gave us experience, connection, and motivation for the future. I’m proud of our whole team – not just for their results, but for how they represented our club and the project.”
A big thank you to all the partners for their great cooperation, and to our hosts in Rome for the warm welcome. We’re heading home inspired, proud, and ready for the next chapter of EU TeqGames – but for now, we’ll go back to training!
