DiaPS Project Meeting Held in Barcelona
From 26 to 28 April 2024, the DiaPS project working meeting took place in Barcelona, bringing together project partners to analyse the first survey results and discuss the next steps in developing the digital solution.
The meeting was hosted by Eva Caballero and Ramon Crespo from Area Q, alongside Mia Bajramagić from IDF Europe, Bastian Hauck from #dedoc°, Malte Kalsbach from TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Ines Jakopanec from EMCA, and HAŠK Mladost representatives Dunja Bračun and Antonia Precali.
More than 1000 responses in 11 languages
A large part of the meeting focused on analysing the preliminary results of the DiaPS survey, which gathered more than 1000 responses in 11 different languages. Among the respondents, 37.9% were people living with diabetes, 18.9% were coaches, 20.8% were parents of children with diabetes, while the remaining participants included healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
One of the most interesting insights was the strong interest shown by parents and coaches, further confirming how needed this kind of project is within the sports community.
Workshops, ideas, and platform development
Following the analysis, partners took part in workshops and discussions focused on how the DiaPS digital solution should work in practice. Through different methods and collaborative exercises, the consortium discussed priorities, functionalities, and the overall direction of the platform.
One of the more engaging workshops focused on user experience and the user journey. Participants worked with different user personas and explored possible solutions for their everyday challenges related to sport and diabetes.
Discussions also covered content organisation, app usability, and ways to make the overall experience as practical and accessible as possible for future users.
Next steps for DiaPS
The meeting in Barcelona marked an important step forward in the development of the DiaPS project. Through productive discussions, new ideas, and exchange of experiences, partners further aligned the project vision and laid the foundations for the next phases of platform development.
A big thank you to Area Q for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality throughout the productive weekend in Barcelona.
