ReSea Sports: New Milestones Towards Regenerative Sea Sport
Methodology: Building the Foundation
At the end of August, the consortium submitted one of the project’s core deliverables:
The “REGENERATIVE SEA SPORTS Methodology”.
This comprehensive document outlines the conceptual and practical structure of the project, including:
- Inventory Conceptualisation & Identification
- Integrated Management & Governance Methodology
- Monitoring Methodology with a Battery of Indicators
This publication provides a solid foundation for implementing regenerative approaches at pilot sites — making the project’s outcomes measurable, adaptable, and impactful at a local and European level.
Steering Committee in Quiberon
On 18 September, partners gathered in Quiberon, France, for the in-person Steering Committee meeting, hosted by ENVSN – École Nationale de Voile et des Sports Nautiques. Key topics included:
- Reviewing project progress
- Preparing local stakeholder workshops
- Planning pilot regenerative activities
- Expanding the International Advisory Board
The meeting encouraged collaboration and idea-sharing, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact and community-based action.
A Step Forward for Green Sport
Following the discussions in Quiberon, ReSea Sports officially signed the Green Sport Manifesto, a European Commission initiative under SHARE 2.0.
This move formalises the project’s commitment to sustainability in governance, impact measurement, and engagement — reinforcing the belief that sea sports can be powerful agents of environmental regeneration.
