TeqGames Project Completed, but the Games Go On
After two years of intensive work, collaboration, and sporting innovation, the EU TeqGames project officially concluded in July 2025. However, what remains – new tools, approaches, and enthusiasm for inclusive Teq sports – is only beginning to show its full potential.
What was TeqGames?
EU TeqGames was a European project designed to bring innovative Teq sports such as Teqball, Teqvoly, and other variations played on the distinctive curved Teq table closer to a wider audience, especially within local communities and multisport environments.
Through education, demonstrations, workshops, and the creation of practical guides, the project:
- introduced new sports that are accessible, fun, and inclusive
- developed resources for coaches and sports organisations wishing to introduce Teq sports into their programmes
- fostered international cooperation among sports organisations
The role of HAŠK Mladost
As a project partner, HAŠK Mladost was involved in pilot activities and local testing. The focus was on promoting Teq sports among young people and students, with the goal of attracting diverse groups of participants – not only competitive athletes but also recreational players, educators, and coaches.
What remains after the project?
The legacy of the TeqGames project goes beyond the promotion of sport. It includes:
- tools and materials for integrating Teq sports into school and club programmes
- a connected network of partners who can support the implementation of these sports
- proof that sport can be simple, fun, and inclusive for everyone – without major infrastructural demands.
What’s next?
Although the project has formally ended, many of the activities launched through TeqGames will continue. HAŠK Mladost continues to use Teq equipment in its regular sports programmes, and all educational materials remain freely available to anyone interested in learning more about this innovative approach.
