EMCA and FITEQ forge partnership to propel Teqball across Europe
In a significant stride for Teqball, the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) and the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) have partnered to propel the sport’s expansion across Europe. This collaboration heralds a new era, offering exciting prospects for athletes, clubs, and enthusiasts.
Central to this partnership is the shared vision of making Teqball a prominent sport in Europe. EMCA, with its extensive network of multisport clubs, and FITEQ, the global governing body, combine their resources and expertise to achieve this goal. The creation of a new Teqball league under EMCA’s auspices is a cornerstone of this collaboration, with a minimum of eight participating clubs. This league aims to provide a competitive platform for athletes, culminating in a grand final event.
The partnership also focuses on long-term sustainability and talent development. A structured pathway will help athletes and coaches transition from players to mentors, fostering community and professional growth within Teqball. Cristina Tsiligikiri, President of EMCA, emphasized the potential of this collaboration to promote Teqball and European priorities within their member clubs.
Additionally, EMCA and FITEQ plan to integrate Teqball into multisport clubs, co-host events across Europe, and support clubs with essential equipment and educational initiatives. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of officiating and empower participants to excel.
FITEQ Secretary General Laszlo Vajda expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting its potential to unite clubs and athletes, driving Teqball’s growth. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for Teqball in Europe, leveraging collective strengths to elevate the sport and promising a dynamic future for its community.
