Zagreb Hosts the First International 3x3UNITY Friendly Tournament

As part of the Erasmus+ Sport project 3x3UNITY: Play, Create, Connect, the first international 3×3 basketball friendly tournament took place in Zagreb on 18–19 April 2026, bringing together young participants from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.

The event featured boys from HAKK Mladost, girls from ŽKK Jabuka, boys from KK Šentvid, girls from ŽKD Maribor, and young participants from Serbia involved in the project through SUPERNOVA21. Over the two days, participants trained together, played several friendly 3×3 games and, most importantly, got to know one another through sport.

Although basketball was at the centre of the event, the primary focus was on friendship, teamwork and intercultural exchange. The tournament provided an opportunity for young people from the three neighbouring countries to connect, build new friendships and experience the values of respect, inclusion and cooperation that lie at the heart of the 3x3UNITY project.

The Zagreb tournament marked the beginning of the project’s international activities and demonstrated how 3×3 basketball can serve as a powerful tool for bringing young people together beyond competition.

The 3x3UNITY: Play, Create, Connect project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Sport Programme and implemented by SUPERNOVA21 (Serbia), HAŠK Mladost (Croatia) and Športno društvo Šentvid Ljubljana (Slovenia).
