Project Description
This project aims on encouraging participation in sport and physical activity for children who prefer playing online games above sport and physical activity. The methodology that will be used is that all five clubs (main applicant and partners) will independently create an eSports Community league, where children can compete with each other online with the popular game FIFA 2020 and earn points by winning online matches.
But, the children can only become a champion in the eSport Community league, if they also participate in physical sporting activities organised by the different department of the multisportclubs participating. By participating in the multisport clinics, extra points can be earned for the eSports Community League. The points are added to the amount of points earned winning online games which makes it only possible to win the league if the youngsters did enough physical activities. Through these positive encouragements, the partners involved aim to promote and inform citizens and especially the youngsters about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical activities.
