Project Description

The GoldAge project is built on the idea that sport and physical activity are essential tools for healthy ageing and social inclusion. As Europe’s population grows older, many elderly people face isolation, declining health, and limited access to structured physical activity. GoldAge responds to this by creating accessible, inclusive and enjoyable multisport activities specifically designed for adults aged 60 and over.

It also recognizes that many older adults face economic, social, or psychological barriers to participation, and seeks to remove these through free training sessions, support from trained coaches, and a community-based approach that encourages connection and purpose through sport.

The main goal of the GoldAge project is to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of people aged 60+ through regular, adapted multisport activities, supported by trained local coaches and volunteers. This will be achieved by delivering training sessions in Bulgaria, Croatia and Italy, promoting social inclusion, and creating open-access tools that can be replicated across Europe.
