Hrvatski akademski športski klubovi Mladost Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, continuing on the tradition of the first student sport club H.A.Š.K. founded on November 6th, 1903. has given a huge contribution to organizing and promoting academic sport and Croatian sport in general. In 1945. HAŠK is transformed into two separate organizations which Akademičar and Mladost which in 1946. becomes Akademsko sportsko društvo Mladost, which marks the beginning of the golden era of academic and Croatian sport. Impressive sport results are made in various sports such as water polo, volleyball, athletics, rowing, swimming, basketball, fencing, tennis and other sports that have formed HAŠK Mladost for more than a century.
In 1950. HAŠK forms the oldest Croatian sport award – Mladost Trophy – which is awarded every year at the anual assemby to the most successful individuals and teams. This prestigues award was received by hundreds of athletes and sportsworkers such as Gordan Kožulj, Tamara Boroš, Perica Bukić, Barbara Jelić, Tomislav Smoljanović, Oliver Martinov, Ninoslaa Saraga, Suzana Skoko, Petra Banović, Ivana Brkljačić, Tomislav Paškvalina, Dubravko Šimenca, Đurđa Fočić Šourek, Milka Babović, Olga Šikovec Luncer, Žarko Susić, Radovan Lipovšćak, Žarko Dolinar i ader eminent and well known names.
HAŠK Mladost through its sport clubs develops children sport, student sport, u svojim redovima razvija šport djece, zatim studentski, top level sport, recreational sport and sport for people with disabilities.
